You do running headers and footers with a STYLEREF field. The Master is beyond the last paragraph mark at the bottom of your document. Let's just tick off the basics, just to cement in your mind what's happening.Ī Word document has one Master section break that you can't see, and from 0 to many other section breaks that you can see. When I finally see two different headings, and I go to update one, then it changes ALL of them, both even and odd pages to the same thing. Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong? I have set up the document according to all the help files (I THINK) yet, when I change an even page header to say one thing, the odd page header changes too, and it is not supposed to. I have googled many How-Tos and I have unchecked the “Link to previous” option, and I haveĬhecked the “Different odd and even pages” option. I have inserted separate headers for odd pages and headers for even pages accordingly In the template there are 3 Chapters per Part, and 5 topics per chapter. I have set up 4 different sections: Intro, Part1, Part2, Part3.
On even pages for the Title of the book, and a header on odd pages for the Part:Chapter of the book.
Everything was going well until I tried to add a header I am working on a book template based on requirements for a specific company.
I’m having an issue trying to add different headers and footers for odd & even pages in different sections.
